Member standards

The standards we hold ourselves to as a membership organization, and the conduct we ask of members in return. Brief, because most of this is common professional practice.

Effective · May 20, 2026

Membership in the Knowledge Hub, the Practitioner Roundtables, and Fractional Coordinator certification cohorts is a shared professional space. The standards below apply to all members regardless of tier or program.

What we commit to members.

Practitioner-grade content. Every Knowledge Hub resource, briefing, and template is authored or reviewed by a senior civil rights practitioner with direct experience in the relevant subject matter.

Confidentiality of participation. Member rosters, attendance records, and contributions to peer discussion spaces are not disclosed to outside parties without the member's written consent, except where required by law.

Independent editorial voice. Our content is not influenced by sponsors, vendors, or institutional advertisers. We do not accept paid placement in briefings or training.

Honest scope. When a topic falls outside our practitioner expertise, we say so and either bring in qualified outside contributors or decline to publish.

Right of access. Members retain access to the content and tools tied to their tier for the full term of their membership. Substantive changes to content access are communicated at least thirty days in advance.

What we ask of members.

Respect for confidentiality. Case studies, anonymized matters, and peer discussion content shared inside the membership are for member learning. They are not to be republished, redistributed, or quoted with attribution outside the membership without permission.

Use of templates and tools. Templates, checklists, and policy frameworks are licensed for internal use at your institution. They are not licensed for resale, sublicensing, or use in competing consulting or training services.

Account integrity. Member accounts are for the named individual or institution. Credentials should not be shared outside the entity to which they were issued. Institutional tiers cover the named institution and its bona fide employees.

Professional conduct in shared spaces. Discussion rooms, peer workshops, and roundtables operate under standard professional norms, no harassment, no discriminatory conduct, no disclosure of identifying details about complainants or respondents from real matters.

Honest representation. Members may identify themselves as Knowledge Hub members or as graduates of a specific FC certification cohort. Members should not represent themselves as agents, partners, or representatives of Fractional Coordinator.

Suspension and termination.

We may suspend or terminate a membership for material breach of these standards, for non-payment, or for conduct that creates a safety concern for other members. Suspension is normally preceded by written notice and an opportunity to respond, except where immediate action is needed to protect other members.

A member whose access is suspended or terminated for cause is not entitled to a refund of the unused portion of the membership term. A member whose access is terminated because we discontinue a program will receive a pro-rated refund.

Concerns and appeals.

If you believe a membership decision was made in error or if you wish to raise a concern about the conduct of another member or of our staff, contact membership@fractionalcoordinator.com. Concerns are reviewed by our operations lead. Appeals of suspension or termination decisions are reviewed by a senior practitioner who was not involved in the original decision.

Relationship to other policies.

These standards work alongside our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and program-specific agreements. Where an explicit cohort or program agreement addresses a topic, that agreement controls.

Membership questions: membership@fractionalcoordinator.com, for help with access, billing, or to raise a concern.

Effective: May 20, 2026. Next scheduled review: November 20, 2026.
