Title VI compliance services
Title VI prohibits discrimination based on race, color, and national origin in federally funded programs, including discrimination based on shared ancestry. We hold the coordinating seat, investigate complaints, and review the program behind them.
How we help
Title VI and civil rights coordination
A named practitioner holds the Civil Rights Compliance Officer seat and runs intake, response, and records for race, color, and national origin complaints.
Independent investigations
Neutral investigations of Title VI complaints, including hostile environment claims, documented to survive agency review.
Program review
Policy, procedures, notices, and case files reviewed against what the Office for Civil Rights and the Department of Justice expect.
Training
Training for administrators and staff on recognizing, reporting, and responding to discrimination and harassment.
What has to be in place
A route for complaints
A published way to raise race, color, and national origin concerns, and a response process that is actually followed.
Prompt, effective response
When the institution knows of harassment, a response reasonably calculated to end it, prevent recurrence, and address its effects.
A record
Documentation of what was reported, what was done, and why, retained and retrievable.
How an engagement starts
Scoping conversation
We look at open complaints, current policy, and who holds responsibility for Title VI today.
Written terms
A seat on a monthly retainer, a matter under a fee cap or fixed fee, or a defined review, agreed in writing.
First report
What is open, what is at risk, and what to address first.
Pricing
Coordinator seats are priced as a flat monthly retainer, and investigations under a fee cap or fixed fee. Published rates for both are on the fractional leadership and investigations pages.

Does Title VI cover antisemitism and Islamophobia?
Title VI covers discrimination based on actual or perceived shared ancestry or ethnic characteristics, which the Office for Civil Rights has applied to students who are Jewish, Muslim, Arab, Sikh, and members of other groups.
Do you investigate Title VI complaints?
Yes. We conduct independent investigations of race, color, and national origin complaints for colleges, universities, and districts.
Is a Title VI coordinator required?
The Title VI regulations do not require a designated coordinator in every setting. Institutions that name one respond faster and keep better records, and resolution agreements with the Office for Civil Rights frequently require one.
